Telebridge Recording Services enable Telebridge customers to record their conference. Recordings are temporarily stored on the Telebridge for up to 21 days, and must be copied to permanent media in order to preserve and make them publicly available. Copies are available on CD or as downloadable audio files (mp3 or wav format).
Recording a Teleconference
To record a Teleconference, the host:
- Initiates and ends recording during the teleconference
- Optionally requests an archived copy of the recording

Audio CD
An Audio CD is a standard music compact disc. You can play it in a CD player. If you want to make multiple copies of your archived recording, consider ordering a computer file instead. Otherwise, you will need to “rip” the Audio CD to acquire a computer file so that you may burn new CDs.
Computer File
We offer two different formats for your computer file, either wav or mp3. Both file types can be used to burn CDs and both can be offered on websites. While there are no hard and fast rules for selecting one over the other, wav files are bulkier, sometimes produce better quality CDs, and require no special software to play on a website. Mp3 files are compressed, so are smaller, and require that the listener at a website use a media player such as Quicktime or Windows Media Player. Almost all computers today are capable of playing both wav and mp3 files with no trouble.
Data CD
A data CD is a disc that contains your wav or mp3 file. If you have a CD-ROM drive, your computer will be able to access the wav or mp3 file so that you may make copies, burn CDs or upload the file to your website. Data CDs offer you a “hard” copy of your recording file. But producing and shipping a data CD takes several days of extra time, so if you need your recording quickly, select a secure download link instead.
Download Link
A download link is a method of transferring your computer file (wav or mp3) without having us place it on a data CD and mail it to you. When your computer file is ready, you’ll receive an email containing a link to download. This is a fast and easy way to obtain your archived recording.
FTP
FTP or File Transfer Protocol is a method of transferring files across the internet and is regularly used to upload and download files from a web server. If you would like us to upload the computer file directly to your website folder, you will need to know and provide the FTP account access information for your website (host, directory, username and password) during the ordering process. Once available, you may download your file, link it to a page or pages on your website, or give listeners FTP information to access the file.
