Advanced Telebridge Features
The Advanced Telebridge is an enhanced Telebridge offering Live Conference Viewer, a real-time conference call managment system.
Benefits of the Advanced Telebridge include support for VoIP callers (e.g. Skype or Vonage) and live computer-based management of recordings, call features, and individual participants.
Recordings can be played back at a separate dial-in number and heard by multiple simultaneous callers.
Advanced Telebridges are available in the following area codes: 206 (Washington), and 716 (New York).
How to Dial In
Call the dial-in number at the scheduled time. When prompted, enter either the Host or Guest PIN, followed by the pound sign.
If Guests enter before the Host, they will hear music on hold until the Host joins the call.
During the conference, participants may hear chimes when someone joins or leaves the call. These chimes can be turned off using either the Keypad Commands or the Live Conference Viewer as described below.
How to Access the Live Conference Viewer
The Live Conference Viewer is a web browser-based interface for call Hosts. To login, click the link provided in your new account confirmation. Enter your username and password. If you’ve lost your Live Conference Viewer username, password, or link, contact Telebridge to have them sent again.
About the Live Conference Viewer Commands
Live Conference Viewer contains an online help feature accessed by clicking “Help” in the upper right corner. It is recommended that Hosts login and familiarize themselves with the system’s features before their first call.
The Live Conference Viewer offers these additional features:
- Active Talker: Learn which caller is currently making the most noise. This is useful when you need to diagnose noise coming from an individual line. Mute any line with one click.
- Chimes: Entry and exit chimes can be enabled during the introduction and then disabled prior to recording a conference.
- Conference Modes: With one click, choose between “Conversation Mode” (anyone can speak), “Q & A Mode” (Host can speak, Guests are muted but can unmute with *6), and “Lecture Mode” (Host can speak, but Guests are muted).
- Lock Conference: Prevent new participants from joining the call; click again to allow new callers.
- Participant List: View a list of all participants by phone number as well as the total participant count.
- Record: Start and end recordings quickly using the Viewer without leaving the conversation.
- Hang Up: Hang up any participant with one click.

Most Telebridge commands can be toggled on and off; that is, you press the command once to turn the feature on, and again to turn it off. For example, a guest may self mute by pressing *6 (star then 6), then unmute by pressing *6 again.
Please note that, unless the call is already in lecture mode, pressing any number on your touchtone keypad will create audible beeps for other callers. If your phone has a mute button and volume control, use these instead of your keypad.
When the Host uses Keypad Commands, he or she will leave the “call space” while listening to the automated system. During this time, Guests will hear music.
Count – Pressing *8 (star then 8) will provide the Host with the number of participants on the call. The Live Conference Viewer will also display this information.
Help – Pressing *4 will retrieve a list of automated commands.
Lecture – When the host presses *5 (star then 5), the teleconference will be placed in “lecture mode.” This means that only the host(s) can be heard. When the host is ready for guest comments or questions, he or she can press *5 again to end lecture mode. This is a useful strategy for reducing background noise coming from guests on the call. Lecture mode can also be toggled on and off using the Live Conference Viewer.
Self Mute – Guests may press *6 (star then 6) to mute themselves, and *6 again to unmute themselves. Please note that, unless the call is in lecture mode, *6 will create an audible beep for other callers. If your phone has a mute button, use this first.
Security – This feature allows the Host to control who will be allowed in the Teleconference. Once the conference is locked, no other participant will be able to join, and callers using the Guest PIN will receive a message saying the call is locked. This feature is activated by pressing * 7 and deactivated in the same manner. Security automatically ends when the Host hangs up. You may also lock/unlock a conference using the Live Conference Viewer. Please note: Anyone using the Host PIN can enter a locked conference, so, if you intend to use this feature, be mindful of who has access to the Host PIN.
Chimes – Pressing *9 will enable or disable entry and exit chimes, which are the tones that sound as participants join and hang up. We recommend these be disabled on calls greater than about 30 participants as the number of chimes can become distracting. You may press *9 four different times to toggle through the various options (entry chimes on/exit chimes off, both chimes off, entry chimes off/exit chimes on, and both chimes on). You may also enable/disable chimes using the Live Conference Viewer.
Optional No-Fee Features
When ordering a new Full-Time Telebridge, you will need to indicate which of these optional features you would like. These features may be added or deleted without charge at any time by contacting us.
Auto Hang-up – This will automatically disconnect all participants from the Conference once the last Host hangs up. Make sure that at least one Host stays on the line until the end of the call.
Music on Hold – Participants will listen to music until the Host joins the Teleconference. Once the Host joins, the music will shut off and the Teleconference may begin. Keep in mind that the Participants will not be able to converse until the Host arrives.
Optional Fee-Based Features & Services
